The Cost of Knowledge
Dec. 6th, 2013 18:07Amidst news that Elsevier is ratcheting up its copyright profiteering, I've signed the Cost of Knowledge declaration. The argument could be made that since Elsevier thankfully publishes no journals in my field, this is an empty declaration on my part, but I believe that there is great value in researchers in fields that are not directly affected by Elsevier's take-downs showing solidarity with those who are and who are taking measures to protest Elsevier's flagrantly anti-knowledge, pro-corporate profiteering policies.
Needless to say, I urge you to sign the declaration as well.
