What I see people complaining about is more a lack of dialogue and a lack of the information they actually want to know in a place that's easy to find when they want to find it.
Yes, this--and it's very much a two-part issue. The amount of poking around on the website I, a two-term staffer, have to do to find the Board bios or committee descriptions is not conducive to transparency. And that doesn't even get into the lack of putting out information people actually want and need.
Thinking about it, I really think we should take Dreamwidth's approach to transparency as our gold standard.
